Koláž-248 (1942)
Karel Teige (narozen roku 1900 v Praze a zemřel 1951 léta páně tamtéž) byl vůdčí osobností celé české avantgardy. Založil Devětsil, Českou Surrealistickou Skupinu i Skupinu Ra. Byl výtvarným a architektonickým teoretikem, fotografem, publicistou, grafikem, malířem i překladatelem, který přednášel i na universitě v Bauhausu v Dessau. Je představitelem surrealismu i poetismu. Stýkal se takřka se všemi významnými surrealisty a na jeho přání do Prahy přijel přednášet André Breton.
Karel Teige (born in 1900 in Prague and died in 1951 at the same place) was the leading figure of Czech avant-garde. He established the Devětsil Union of Modern Culture, Czech Surrealistic Group and the RA Union of Writers. He was an artistic and architectonic theorist, photographer, publicist, printmaker, painter and translator, who lectured at the University of Bauhaus in Dessau. He was surrealist and poetist (poetism is Czech poetry genre). He met almost all famous surrealists. André Breton came to Prague because of his invitation.
