Italský futuristický malíř a sochař Umberto Boccini se narodil roku 1882 v Reggiu Calabria a zemřel 1916 v Sorte. Byl přítelem Filippa Tommase Marinettiho a když Marinetti sepisoval manifest futurimsu, nejen že se na všem domlouval s Boccionim, ale prohlásil jej za hlavního teoretika onoho hnutí. Zemřel v bojích 1. světové války.

Italian Futuristic painter and sculptor Umberto Boccini was born in 1882 in Reggio Calabria and died in 1916 in Sorte. He was a friend of Fillipo Tommaso Marinetti. When Marinetti created the Futurist Manifesto, he finded Boccioni as the main theorist of Futurism. He died in the battle of World War I.
